Manismata Map Poster & Print
Manismata is a district settlement in Ketapang Regency, in the interior of West Kalimantan on the island of Borneo. The landscape around it is low and green, crossed by rivers and streams, with forest, plantations and scattered villages spread across a wide area. From above, the settlement is small and linear, following roads and watercourses rather than forming a compact grid.
Much of Ketapang's interior is shaped by rivers, which were historically the main routes between settlements, and by the expansion of plantation agriculture in recent decades. On a map, this shows as long roads cutting through large areas of green, with clusters of houses where routes meet or cross water.
