Matriz de Camaragibe Map Poster & Print
Matriz de Camaragibe is a municipality in the north of Alagoas, a short distance inland from the Atlantic coast. On a map the town is small and compact, with a modest grid of streets on low ground by the Camaragibe River, surrounded by gently rolling land.
The centre is organised around its church and main square, with a few parallel streets and cross streets making up the core. Beyond the town, the map opens into agricultural land, much of it sugarcane, broken by the course of the river and by rural roads following the terrain.
A Matriz de Camaragibe map poster presents the town as it sits in its landscape: a small, dense cluster of streets in a wide green setting. Its name refers to the mother church, a reminder of how many Brazilian towns grew outward from a parish at their centre.
