Road junction
Several routes meet at the centre of town, where the market areas lie. The meeting point gives the print a clear focus with lines spreading outward.

Maua Map Poster & Print
Maua is in Meru County in central Kenya, in the Nyambene Hills northeast of Mount Kenya. From above, the land rolls and rises. The town sits on the slopes, with roads fanning out across ridges and small valleys, and farmland fills the gaps between them. There are no hard edges. The built-up area slowly thins into cultivated hillsides.
The town is widely known as a centre of the miraa trade. Miraa is grown across the Nyambene Hills and moved quickly to markets in Kenya and beyond. That trade shaped Maua as a place of roads, markets and transport. On the map, the central area sits where several routes meet.
A Maua map poster shows a market town on hilly ground, with a busy junction of roads surrounded by farmland. It suits people from Igembe and the wider Meru region, and anyone whose family story passes through these hills.

Nyambene slopes
The town sits across rolling hills, so streets bend with the land. You can see that in the gently curving roads around the centre.
Farmland edges
Cultivated land surrounds the town and runs right into it. Tracks and field boundaries give the outer areas of the map a loose, open texture.
