Midsayap sits in the flat lowlands of Cotabato province on Mindanao. The land around it is mostly level farmland, so on a map the town reads as a compact cluster of streets strung along the main highway, with rural roads branching out into the fields. The edges soften quickly into a pattern of long plots and narrow farm tracks.
The area is known as a rice-growing district. From above you can see that in the geometry: straight channels, field boundaries and small village clusters spread in a loose grid across the lowland. The denser town centre stands out as a tight knot of short blocks around the market and civic buildings, set against the much larger open ground around it.
