Milavittan is a town in Tamil Nadu’s Thoothukudi district, just north-west of the port city of Thoothukudi on the flat coastal plain of India’s far south. The land here is low and largely dry. Its map is shaped by roads running out from the city, scattered residential clusters and open ground between them.
