Molina lies in the Central Valley of Chile, in the Maule Region, south of Curicó. The town is laid out in the Spanish colonial tradition, with a regular grid of blocks around a central square, and the map shows this clearly as a neat pattern set in flat, cultivated land.
The area is one of Chile's major wine-growing zones, and vineyards stretch around the town on all sides. To the east, the commune extends into the foothills of the Andes, where Radal Siete Tazas National Park is known for its series of waterfalls and pools carved into rock.
