Level plain
The surrounding land is extremely flat, so roads and field boundaries run long and straight, giving the map a calm, regular structure.

Mostafa Map Poster
Mostafa lies in Maysan Governorate in southeastern Iraq, in the broad alluvial lowlands formed by the Tigris and its channels. The landscape here is almost perfectly flat, and on a map the settled area appears as a cluster of streets and compounds set among farmland, canals and open ground that stretches in every direction.
Maysan is known for its marshlands, part of the wetlands of southern Mesopotamia that have supported farming and fishing communities for thousands of years. The province has changed considerably in recent decades, with drainage, restoration efforts and oil development all reshaping the land and its waterways around towns like this one.
A Mostafa map poster reflects the character of this terrain: blocks of housing and straight roads laid across a level plain, with the lines of irrigation channels running beside them. In black and white, the absence of hills or coastline makes the pattern of settlement itself the subject, drawn plainly against a quiet background.

Irrigation channels
Canals and ditches drawn from the river system cross the area, their thin lines tracing how water is distributed across the farmland.
Compact settlement
Housing and streets gather in a defined area amid open land, making the edge between town and countryside clearly visible from above.

Mostafaを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
For people from Maysan, including those now living far from southern Iraq, a map of home is a way to keep a familiar place close. Its simplicity suits the quiet, graphic look of a monochrome poster.
You can change the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for instance to a family name or an important year. Choose one of five styles, from Classic black & white to Sand, as a $9 HD download or a printed poster on matte paper.
