Nandaime Map Poster & Print
Nandaime is in the Granada Department of Nicaragua, south of the city of Granada, in the fertile lowlands between Lake Nicaragua and the Pacific. The Pan-American Highway passes by the town. It is one of the main stops on the long road that runs south toward Rivas and the Costa Rican border.
The centre follows the Spanish colonial pattern of square blocks around a central plaza and church. That grid stands out clearly from above, with the streets becoming less regular toward the edges as they meet farmland. The Mombacho volcano rises to the north, and its forested slopes dominate the wider landscape around the town.
