Naviraí Map Poster & Print
Naviraí is a town in the south of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, in a region of broad farmland within the Paraná River basin. It was founded in the mid-twentieth century as agriculture expanded into the area, and its layout reflects that recent, planned origin. On the map, a wide and regular grid of streets extends in every direction from the centre.
Streets are broad, blocks are even, and main avenues cut across the grid to connect with the highways that carry grain and livestock through the region. Around the town, the land is flat and open, divided into large fields and pastures. A Naviraí map poster shows the orderly plan in the middle of this extensive agricultural landscape.
Because the setting is so level, the map is shaped almost entirely by human decisions: the grid, the roads and the edges of cultivated land, with occasional streams and patches of woodland breaking the pattern.
