Nyaungdon Map Poster & Print
Nyaungdon stands on the Ayeyarwady River in the upper part of its delta, not far from the Yangon region. The town lines the riverbank, and its map is shaped by water above all: the broad main channel, smaller creeks and the flat, low-lying land that floods and dries with the seasons.
The built-up area follows the river in a long band, with streets running parallel to the bank and shorter ones reaching inland. Beyond the town, the map opens into rice fields, villages and waterways, the characteristic landscape of the Ayeyarwady Delta.
A Nyaungdon map poster brings out the quiet structure of a river town: the strong line of the water, the modest grid behind it and the wide delta plain beyond. It is a simple, open composition where the river is the natural centre of attention.
