Oak Forest is a city in Cook County, Illinois, in the southern suburbs of Chicago. Its map follows the Midwestern pattern: a grid of long straight roads marking out square-mile sections, with residential streets filling the spaces between. Some neighbourhoods keep to the grid and others curve into loops and cul-de-sacs, so the map has two distinct textures.
