Paiçandu Map Poster & Print
Paiçandu lies just west of Maringá in northern Paraná, and on a map its streets form a compact grid set among farmland. The blocks are fairly regular, with long straight roads running out to the fields. Towards the east the town comes close to Maringá's outskirts, and new housing gradually fills the gap between them.
This part of Paraná was settled and parcelled out during the twentieth century, when agriculture pulled people onto its fertile red soils. That planned expansion left a legacy of rectangular town layouts and field boundaries drawn with a ruler. Paiçandu shares that pattern, with a clear centre and neighbourhoods that repeat the same simple geometry.
