Pindwāra lies in Sirohi district in southern Rajasthan, where the Aravalli range breaks into low, rocky hills. From above, the town is a dense cluster of lanes that thins out along the main roads. A railway line and a national highway pass nearby, and both are clear lines through the dry, uneven land around the town.
The town is on the route between Udaipur and the Abu Road area, so traffic and trade have long passed through it. The region has a strong tradition of stone carving, and workshops here have supplied carved stone for temples. On the map, the older core looks tight and irregular, and the newer growth follows the roads outward.
