Portmore Map Poster & Print
Portmore lies in Saint Catherine Parish on Jamaica's south coast, directly across Kingston Harbour from the capital. From above, it is a patchwork of residential schemes, each with its own looping streets and cul-de-sacs, laid across low land between the harbour, the sea and the dry Hellshire Hills.
The community was developed from the 1960s onward as a place to house people working in Kingston, and it became a municipality in its own right in 2003. Its links to the capital are clear on the map: causeway and highway routes cross the water and wetland to reach the city.
To the south, the Hellshire area ends in beaches that are a weekend destination for Kingstonians, known for fried fish and festival. A Portmore map poster shows the unusual texture of a town built scheme by scheme, bordered on almost every side by water.

Looping housing schemes
Each neighbourhood forms its own pattern of curved streets and cul-de-sacs, so the map reads like a collection of separate drawings.
Hellshire coast
To the south the land rises into the dry Hellshire Hills and ends at a coastline of beaches and small coves.

Portmoreを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
For families who moved here from Kingston and raised children in the schemes, Portmore is home in a very concrete sense. The map picks out their specific streets and their view across the harbour.
Add a title, a subtitle such as the scheme name or year you moved in, and your coordinates. Choose one of five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand.
