Lakeside plain
The town sits on low, flat ground near the lake, so there are few hills to bend the streets. Blocks spread evenly, and waterways cut through them.

Poyang Map Poster & Print
Poyang lies in northeastern Jiangxi, on the eastern side of the lake that shares its name. Poyang Lake is the largest freshwater lake in China, and its size changes dramatically between wet and dry seasons. The land around the town is low and flat, crossed by rivers, channels and ponds. Water shapes the map as much as roads do.
The town itself is a compact grid of streets, with new districts extending along the main roads. Around it lie fields, embankments and the winding shapes of waterways that feed the lake. The wider wetlands are well known as a wintering ground for large numbers of migratory birds, which draws attention to the whole region.
A Poyang map poster sets the town inside that watery landscape. It shows a dense urban core surrounded by rivers, lakes and the fine lines of rural roads and dikes. The contrast between tight streets and open water makes a calm, balanced composition, particularly in the Blueprint and Paper styles.

Rivers and channels
Rivers and smaller channels thread across the surrounding land toward the lake. On the poster they read as soft, curving lines against the straight roads.
Ponds and embankments
Many small bodies of water and raised dikes cover the countryside and add a speckled texture to the map around the town.

想いが詰まった地図
Poyang means a great deal to people from Jiangxi, and the lake region is known far beyond the province. A map of the town and its waters works as a reminder of home or of a journey through central China.
