Colonial grid
The town centre follows a regular grid of square blocks around the main square. This clear pattern is the backbone of the map.

Puruándiro Map Poster & Print
Puruándiro lies in northern Michoacán, near the border with Guanajuato, in the broad agricultural lowlands that belong to the Bajío. The land is mostly level, so the town could grow in a steady grid. On a map the blocks spread evenly from the centre, and fields surround the town on all sides.
The name is of Purépecha origin, like many place names in Michoacán, and the town serves as the commercial centre for a large farming municipality. The centre keeps the square blocks of a colonial foundation, and newer neighbourhoods extend the grid outward with only small changes in direction.
A Puruándiro map poster is calm and orderly. The regular street pattern, the few roads leading into the valley and the broad fields around them give the print a balanced structure. It is a clear portrait of a Bajío farm town for people with family ties to northern Michoacán, many of whom now live north of the border.

Farm valley
The town is surrounded by flat agricultural land. On the poster it appears as an open field that frames the compact urban area.
Regional roads
Roads leave the town toward nearby communities in Michoacán and Guanajuato. They add long straight lines that extend the composition to the edges of the sheet.

Puruándiroを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
Many families from Puruándiro live in the United States, and a map of the home town streets can be a meaningful gift across generations. It turns a familiar grid into a quiet, graphic print.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name or a Spanish dedication. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Paper suits the colonial grid.
