Reethapuram is a town in Kanyakumari district, in the far south of Tamil Nadu, a short distance from the western coast. From above, it does not follow a planned grid. Instead, lanes branch off a few main roads and wind between houses, gardens and groves, so the street network looks like a loose web spreading across gently uneven ground.
This part of Kanyakumari district is green and densely settled, with villages and towns running into one another along the roads.
