Remchi is in the Tlemcen province of northwestern Algeria, in the farming country between the city of Tlemcen and the Mediterranean coast. On a map it appears as a concentrated settlement with a clear centre. Main roads leave it in several directions, and the land around it is divided into fields rather than suburbs.
The area around Remchi is one of the farming regions of western Algeria, and the town serves as a local centre for the villages nearby. Its map follows a practical logic. Roads link markets and farms, blocks were laid out as the town grew, and the streets gradually thin out toward the edges.
