Robertsonpet Map Poster & Print
Robertsonpet is the main town of the Kolar Gold Fields area in eastern Karnataka. From above, its streets spread across a dry upland plateau, with the town's core giving way to scattered settlements, mining colonies and open ground. The layout is loose and irregular, shaped by the workings and company townships that once served the mines.
The Kolar Gold Fields were among the deepest gold mines in the world, worked on an industrial scale from the late nineteenth century until they closed in 2001. The town grew around that industry, and much of the surrounding landscape still carries the marks of it, from spoil heaps to old worker housing.
A Robertsonpet map poster shows a place defined by work beneath the ground. The streets do not follow a single plan; they cluster, spread and connect in patterns set by the needs of mines that no longer run. That irregular, patchwork form makes an unusual and honest subject for a black-and-white print.

Robertsonpetを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
Many families trace their story to the Kolar Gold Fields, whether they still live there or moved away after the mines closed. A map of Robertsonpet keeps that shared history in a simple, lasting form.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps with a family name or a year, and choose one of five styles. Buy the $9 HD files to print locally, or order a matte poster with an optional wooden frame.
