Rovira is a municipality in Tolima Department, southwest of Ibagué, on the eastern slopes of Colombia's Central Cordillera. The land is steep and folded, and the town sits on a slope between ridges. Coffee and other crops cover the hills around it.
From above, Rovira has a central grid around a main plaza, but the terrain soon bends the streets. At the edges the roads turn into winding tracks that follow ridges and valleys toward the rural veredas. Streams descend through the surrounding hills and cut deep lines into the land.
