Saligram, also known as Saligrama, lies in Udupi district on the coast of Karnataka. On the map, the town follows the main coastal highway, with settlements lining the route and a network of smaller roads leading toward the Arabian Sea to the west and farmland to the east.
The area is known for the Guru Narasimha temple, an important temple for the local community. The landscape around the town is typical of coastal Karnataka: backwaters and small rivers, paddy fields, coconut palms and scattered homes, all of which give the map a detailed but relaxed texture.
