Sebdou is a town in Tlemcen province in northwestern Algeria, in the mountainous country south of Tlemcen, where the Tell Atlas starts giving way to the high plateaus. From above it forms a compact town in a valley, with streets following the lie of the land and roads winding out through the hills toward the plateaus to the south.
The area around Sebdou is known for its landscapes of mountains, springs and forest, and the upper Tafna valley runs nearby. The town serves as a local centre for the surrounding rural communities, and its layout reflects the terrain, a dense core in the valley with the edges giving way to fields and slopes.
