Sehore is a district headquarters in central Madhya Pradesh, a short drive west of Bhopal. On the map it looks like a dense, irregular core of narrow lanes with newer colonies spreading out along the main roads. The town has no dramatic coastline or hills to shape it, so its outline is set by highways, a railway line and the fields beyond.
The surrounding land is part of the Malwa plateau, flat, open farmland known in particular for wheat. At poster scale, this means the town sits as a clear cluster with roads running out from it like spokes. Small streams and tanks appear as fine lines and shapes among the fields.
