Serinyol is a town in Hatay province in southern Turkey, north of Antakya. It sits at a point where the flat land of the Amik area meets the lower slopes of the Nur Mountains, also known as the Amanos. On the map, streets climb from the main road into the hills, and the land beyond opens into fields and orchards.
The main road through the town connects Antakya with İskenderun and the coast, and it forms the town's backbone. Most side streets branch off it, with a denser area near the centre and looser lanes on the slopes. The name, which means roughly cool road in Turkish, is often linked to its breezier position above the plain.
Hatay was among the regions hardest hit by the 2023 earthquakes, and many towns in the province have since been rebuilding. The Serinyol map poster shows the town's lasting geography: the road, the mountains and the plain that frame everyday life here.
