Sibay Map Poster & Print
Sibay is in the Trans-Ural part of Bashkortostan, on open steppe east of the main Ural ridge. The town grew in the twentieth century around its copper and zinc deposits. Its open-pit mine is one of the deepest in Russia, a huge terraced crater that dominates the town's surroundings, and it can be seen clearly on any map.
The town is laid out next to the pit in a mostly regular pattern of Soviet-planned blocks and straight streets, with low private housing on the outskirts. There are no large rivers or natural features to bend the plan. The edges of the town are set mainly by industry: spoil heaps, processing works and the rail spur.
A Sibay map poster is a portrait of a place shaped by what lies under it. In monochrome the quarry becomes a strong, almost abstract shape beside the orderly grid of homes, and the steppe around them is left as open space.

Sibayを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
For people from Sibay, or families tied to its mines, this map shows what home looks like from above: the pit, the blocks and the steppe. It is an unusual and graphic poster, and it holds its own on a large wall.
Add a title, a subtitle such as a year or family name, and your own coordinates line. Try Noir for a dramatic dark quarry, Blueprint for a technical, engineering feel, or Classic black & white for a clean, simple print.
