Sikka is on the Gulf of Kutch coast in Gujarat's Jamnagar district. From above, the coastline is its main feature: an irregular shore cut by creeks and tidal flats, with the open gulf to the north. The town itself is fairly compact. Roads run inland from the waterfront toward the dry plains of Saurashtra.
The area is known for heavy industry. A cement works has stood at Sikka for decades, and the nearby coast handles shipments for the large refineries around Jamnagar. A Sikka map poster sets those man-made lines, such as jetties, access roads and plant sites, against the uneven natural outline of the gulf.
The Gulf of Kutch also has a marine national park, with reefs and mangroves spread across its southern waters. On a black-and-white print, the mix of tidal channels and straight engineered edges gives the image an unusual balance. It shows a working coast set inside a much older landscape.
