Billingen's edge
The mountain plateau west of town creates a large open area on the map, with streets stopping where the slope begins and a distinct boundary on one side.

Skövde Map Poster & Print
Skövde sits in Västra Götaland between Sweden's two largest lakes, Vänern and Vättern. The flat-topped mountain Billingen rises directly west of the town. On the map, Billingen appears as a large, mostly street-free area, and Skövde spreads east from its foot with a compact centre, residential districts and industrial zones along the railway.
The town is known as an industrial and military centre. Volvo has long had a major engine plant here, and Skövde has been a garrison town for generations. It is also home to the University of Skövde. Those roles are visible from above in the big industrial footprints, the barracks areas and the campus next to the ordinary grid of homes and streets.
A Skövde map poster reflects that balance. The dense centre and railway form the middle of the composition, the industrial sites add heavy blocks, and the slopes of Billingen give one side a broad, calm edge. It's a practical town with a clear shape.

Industrial footprint
Large factory and logistics sites, including the long-standing Volvo engine works, appear as big, solid shapes set against the finer residential grid.

Skövdeを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
Skövde draws students, soldiers and engineers from across Sweden, and many of them later want a reminder of their years there. A map of the town, with Billingen at its edge, makes a restrained and meaningful poster for a home or office.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a graduation year or regiment. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The digital HD files cost $9 and come in six sizes, including 30×40 cm and 50×70 cm.
