A compact centre
The main roads meet in a small, tighter knot of streets where most of the town's activity is concentrated, giving the poster a clear focal point against the lighter surroundings.

Taliwang Map Poster & Print
Taliwang is the administrative seat of West Sumbawa Regency, in the Indonesian province of West Nusa Tenggara. From above, the town looks modest and open: a cluster of streets gathered around a few main roads, with houses and government buildings thinning out into farmland. The pattern is typical of a small island capital. The centre is dense, and the edges fade gradually rather than stopping at a hard boundary.
The land around the town is largely flat and agricultural. On a map this shows up as wide blank spaces broken only by narrow lanes and field tracks, and hills rise further inland. The island's western shoreline, facing the Alas Strait and Lombok beyond it, lies a short distance away. A Taliwang map poster captures this balance between a small built core and a large, quiet landscape around it.
The name will be familiar to many Indonesians for another reason. Ayam taliwang, a spicy grilled chicken dish now served across the country, carries the name of the Taliwang people. The town itself is quieter than that reputation might suggest. It is a working regional centre with markets, offices and schools, and in black and white its street network reads as calm and unhurried, drawn with a light hand.

Open farmland
Around the town, broad stretches of cultivated land leave much of the map open, so the few roads and tracks that cross it stand out as fine, deliberate lines.
Toward the coast
Roads lead out of town toward the western shore of Sumbawa, linking the regency seat with the coastline and with routes running north and south across the island.

Taliwangを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
A map of Taliwang suits someone who has family roots in West Sumbawa, has worked in the regency, or remembers a trip across the island. It is a place few people outside the region know well, which makes a clean map of its streets a personal and thoughtful thing to hang.
You can personalise the title, the subtitle and the coordinates line, for example to mark a hometown or a date that matters. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Buy the digital HD files for $9, or order a printed poster on matte paper, with a wooden frame if you want one.
