Talwandi Sābo is a town in Bathinda district, in the Malwa region of southern Punjab. It is home to Takht Sri Damdama Sahib, one of the five Takhts, the seats of temporal authority in Sikhism. Guru Gobind Singh is said to have stayed here in 1706, and the town is also known as Guru Ki Kashi.
On a map the town sits in open, flat agricultural land, with fields divided by canals and straight rural roads. The centre is dense, with narrow streets surrounding the gurdwara complex, while roads lead outward across the plain toward Bathinda and neighbouring towns.
