Taman Desa is a residential neighbourhood in the southern part of Kuala Lumpur, close to Old Klang Road. It began as a housing estate and later grew upward. Streets of terrace houses now share the area with condominium towers built on the higher ground, and this mix gives the district a layered, varied texture when seen from above.
On a map the streets bend with the hilly terrain rather than following a strict grid. Short loops and dead ends wind around the slopes, while a few main roads link the neighbourhood to the arterial routes that lead into central Kuala Lumpur. Green patches mark the steeper ground and the land left open between developments.
