Taşova is a district town in Amasya province in northern Turkey. It lies on the floor of a broad river valley within the Yeşilırmak basin, on level ground framed by hills. The town's streets spread across this flat land, with main roads running along the valley and smaller residential streets filling in between, while cultivated fields surround the built area.
On a map, the contrast between valley and slope is immediately visible. The built area and the rectangular field parcels occupy the flat floor, while the surrounding hills appear as open space crossed by a few winding roads.
