From above, Tegina reads as a town shaped by movement. A through road carries the strongest line across the sheet, and the denser part of town gathers along it. Behind that line, shorter lanes and footpaths fan out between compounds. They loosen as they go until the built pattern gives way to open ground. Tegina sits in Niger State in north-central Nigeria, in the wide savanna belt between the Niger River basin and the northern plains.
