Terme River
The ancient Thermodon winds across the plain near the town. It forms the most expressive line on the map as it heads north to the Black Sea.

Terme Map Poster & Print
Terme lies in Samsun Province on Turkey's Black Sea coast, on the broad alluvial plain east of Samsun city. The Terme River, known in antiquity as the Thermodon, flows through the district to the sea. On a map, the town spreads across flat ground near the river, with fields, roads and waterways extending toward the shoreline.
The river is famous for its place in Greek myth. Ancient writers placed the homeland of the Amazons, Themiscyra, on the plain around the Thermodon. Today the district is agricultural, and the town serves as a local market centre. Its streets form a practical grid of blocks set among the farmland.
A Terme map poster brings together the river, the coast and the plain. The river winds toward the sea, and the straight edge of the shoreline closes off the top of the land. The town's blocks sit between them. Few places combine such a well-known ancient name with such a quiet, flat modern layout.

Black Sea coast
A long, fairly straight coastline runs along the plain. It gives the composition a firm horizon and a broad band of open water.
Delta farmland
Fields and drainage lines fill the flat land around the town. Their patchwork adds texture between the streets and the shore.

Termeを選ぶ理由
想いが詰まった地図
Some people choose this map for its link to the Amazon legend, and others because Terme is where their family lives. Either way, the river and coastline make for a well-balanced image.
You can personalise the poster with your own title, subtitle and coordinates, and choose from Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. It is available as a digital download or as a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
