Vigan Map Poster & Print
Vigan in Ilocos Sur is one of the best-preserved Spanish colonial towns in Asia. Its historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town mixes Philippine, Chinese and European building traditions: stone ground floors, wooden upper storeys with capiz-shell windows, and long streets of merchant houses.
The core follows a clear colonial plan. There are straight streets and rectangular blocks, and plazas beside the cathedral and the provincial capitol. Calle Crisologo, cobbled and lined with ancestral houses, is the most famous street. Rivers and low farmland surround the town, and the South China Sea coast lies a short distance to the west.
A Vigan map poster shows how clearly the Spanish plan still shapes the city. The grid is tight and regular around the plazas and loosens into newer neighbourhoods and fields beyond them. It is a strong choice for anyone who has walked its historic streets or whose family comes from Ilocos.

Cathedral plazas
Open plazas beside the cathedral and the capitol form the civic centre and interrupt the tight grid of blocks.
River plain
Low farmland and small rivers surround the town. On the map they appear as soft, open space around the historic grid.
