Villeta Map Poster & Print
Villeta lies on the east bank of the Paraguay River, south of Asunción, in Paraguay's Central Department. The river is by far the largest feature on its map: a broad, slowly curving channel with islands and backwaters, and the Argentine shore on the far side. The town's streets form a modest grid that stops at the riverbank.
The location has made Villeta an important river port for the country. Terminals and industrial sites along the water handle cargo that travels up and down the river system, and on the map they appear as larger plots and access roads beside the bank. Away from the river, the land opens into fields, wetlands and scattered settlements.
A Villeta map poster works as a study in scale. The fine grid of the town is set against the wide shapes of the river and its floodplain, and the result is spacious and calm. It is a portrait of a place that exists because of the water it faces.
