Zeribet el Oued lies in Biskra Province, in the Ziban oasis region of northeastern Algeria, where the foothills of the Aurès give way to the desert. The map shows a compact settlement bordered by palm gardens, with irrigated plots creating a fine patchwork around the built area and wide dry land beyond. Broad wadis, empty for much of the year, cut across the surrounding plain.
The Ziban oases are known for date cultivation, and palm groves remain central to the economy and the look of the landscape. Around the town, the geometry of garden plots and irrigation lines contrasts with the straighter streets of newer neighbourhoods, while roads lead away across open ground toward Biskra and neighbouring oases.
