Maia Map Poster & Print
Maia lies just north of Porto, and on a map it looks less like one town than a patchwork. Residential neighbourhoods, business parks and older parish centres are joined by motorways and metro lines. The Leça river winds through the municipality in a narrow green valley, one of the few soft curves in an otherwise built-up area. Street density thins out toward the rural edges in the north and east.
The most striking shape nearby is Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, whose runway sits partly within Maia's boundaries on the western side. Motorways and ring roads run past it toward the city. Porto Metro lines cross the municipality and tie its centre to Porto proper. The civic core around the town hall has a more planned, modern layout than the winding lanes of the old parishes around it.
A Maia map poster captures a place many people know from daily life rather than postcards: commuting, working in its industrial zones, or growing up in one of its parishes. In black and white, the mix of tight residential streets, broad road corridors and the river valley creates a textured, balanced composition. It is recognisably part of greater Porto, yet it clearly has its own shape.

Airport runway edge
Porto's airport sits along Maia's western side. Its long straight runway and taxiways make a bold geometric shape at the edge of the frame.
Motorway and metro lines
Motorways and Porto Metro routes cut through the municipality, linking it to the city. Their long diagonal strokes organise the denser neighbourhoods between them.

რატომ Maia
რუკა, რომელსაც მნიშვნელობა აქვს
Maia is where many people in greater Porto actually live and work, and it rarely gets the attention the old city receives. A poster of its streets, river and road network recognises that everyday geography. It suits a first home, a workplace or someone who moved away from the north of Portugal.
You can personalise the title and subtitle and adjust the coordinates line, for example to add a parish name or a moving-in date. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Get the $9 HD files in six sizes, or order a matte print shipped from a partner near you.
