Kaman is a district town in Kırşehir Province, on the high plateau of Central Anatolia. From above it reads as a tight cluster rather than a sprawl. The older blocks sit close together near the centre, and the grid grows more regular towards the edges, where newer housing meets farmland. Beyond the last streets the map empties quickly into broad, lightly marked country.
The town sits on the route between Ankara and Kırşehir, and that main road gives the plan a clear spine. Smaller lanes branch off it in uneven directions and follow the gentle rise and fall of the land. In a Kaman map poster the contrast carries the design. The centre is drawn in fine, crowded linework, and the outskirts are defined by a few long lines crossing a quiet field of white.
Kaman is best known in Turkey for its walnuts, which carry the town's name and give it a place in the regional economy. East of the town lies Kaman-Kalehöyük, an archaeological mound that has been excavated for decades by Japanese researchers and has revealed layers of Anatolian settlement reaching back thousands of years. A modest town plan therefore sits on very old ground.
The centre packs short, irregular streets into a small area. At poster scale they form a dense knot of lines that stands out sharply against the open land around it.
The main road running through Kaman towards Ankara and Kırşehir is the strongest line on the map. It anchors the composition and shows how the town grew along its route.
East of town, the Kaman-Kalehöyük excavation marks one of the region's long-studied archaeological sites. It is a reminder that this quiet stretch of plateau has been settled for millennia.

People hang a map of Kaman when the town means something personal, whether that is a family home, a childhood spent among walnut orchards, or time spent near the Kalehöyük excavations. The simple plan against wide open country makes a calm, uncluttered piece for a hallway or study.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example with a family name or a meaningful date. Choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Download HD files for six print sizes, or order a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
