Nunap assinga
Port-de-Bouc sits on the Mediterranean coast west of Marseille, at the mouth of the Caronte channel, the passage that links the Étang de Berre with the Gulf of Fos. For a small town it has an unusual amount of water on its map: the sea to the south, the channel and its basins, and the end of the old canal that once ran here from Arles.
The town grew around its harbour and for much of the twentieth century was known for shipbuilding, until the yards closed in the 1960s. The streets fill the land between the quays and the low hills behind, with the neighbouring industrial zone of Fos to the west and Martigues a short way along the channel to the east.
A Port-de-Bouc map poster turns this meeting of lagoon, channel and sea into a clean graphic, with the dark street network pressed against pale open water. It suits former shipyard families, sailors and anyone who knows the coast between Marseille and the Camargue.
The straight channel from the Étang de Berre reaches the sea at Port-de-Bouc, drawing a strong band of water through the composition and separating the town from the land opposite.
On a small islet at the harbour entrance stands Fort de Bouc, a fortified tower reworked in the age of Vauban, marked on the map as a tiny shape in open water.
Quays, jetties and basins cut sharp geometric edges into the shoreline, a reminder of the town's shipbuilding past and still the most detailed part of the map.

Sooq Port-de-Bouc
A map of Port-de-Bouc works for anyone tied to the Provençal coast and its working harbours: a family that built ships here, a summer spent near the Gulf of Fos or a boat once moored in the basins. The contrast of water and streets looks good in a hallway or a kitchen.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a date or a name if you like, and choose Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand to match the room.
