Broken Arrow lies southeast of Tulsa, and its map is shaped by the square-mile grid of section-line roads that covers much of the American plains. Long, straight arterials run north–south and east–west at regular intervals, dividing the city into large squares, each filled with its own subdivision.
Inside those squares, the pattern changes completely. Residential streets curve, loop and end in cul-de-sacs, so every section has its own small maze of lines.
