Huixtla Map Poster & Print
Huixtla sits on the flat coastal plain of the Soconusco, the narrow strip of southern Chiapas between the Sierra Madre and the Pacific. From above, the town is a tight cluster of rectangular blocks. The Huixtla River runs past it, and open farmland surrounds it on every side. The coastal highway crosses the plain nearby, linking the town to the rest of this agricultural corridor near the Guatemalan border.
The street pattern is typical of the region: short, regular blocks around a central square, loosening into irregular lanes and plots near the edges. The river cuts the one clear diagonal through the layout, and its bends and banks give the map a natural counterpoint to the grid. Beyond the last streets, field boundaries and farm tracks take over the paper.
A Huixtla map poster reads as a portrait of a working town in one of Mexico's most fertile landscapes, shaped by coffee from the hills above and by crops and cattle on the lowlands below. In black and white, the contrast between the dense centre, the winding river and the empty plain around it is simple and quiet, and that is what makes it work on a wall.

Central grid
Short, even blocks around the main square form the core of the town, a dense rectangle that stands out clearly against the open plain.
Soconusco plain
Flat farmland spreads out from the town towards the Pacific and gives the poster generous negative space, broken only by roads and field edges.

For people who grew up in the Soconusco or have family roots in Chiapas, this map is a quiet reminder of home: the square, the river, the roads leading out to the fields. It also suits anyone who likes small towns drawn plainly.
Add your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, perhaps a family name or a year that matters, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Sand and Paper suit the warm lowland setting especially well.
