Roads as spine
A few main roads carry the settlement, and most of the smaller streets branch directly from them, giving the map a clear central structure that reads well at any print size.

Kasamwa Map Poster & Print
Kasamwa lies in the Geita Region of north-western Tanzania, the inland country that runs south of Lake Victoria. Seen from above, it looks like a loose settlement more than a dense town. A handful of main roads carry most of the movement, and a mesh of smaller tracks branches off them between houses, plots and open ground. The edges are soft, and the pattern thins gradually into the surrounding fields.
Geita is best known as one of Tanzania's gold-mining regions, and the land around Kasamwa belongs to that wider story of small towns growing along roads, markets and work. On a minimal map this shows up as a street network that is practical, not planned, with irregular blocks that follow the ground and the paths people actually use. It is an honest portrait of a place still taking shape.
A Kasamwa map poster keeps only what matters to the drawing: roads in black, blocks and open land in white, water where it appears. With no labels, shops or traffic, the settlement becomes a study in line weight. The main roads read as firm strokes and the minor tracks as fine, branching threads. The result is quiet, specific and recognisable to anyone who knows the place.

Soft outer edges
The street network has no hard boundary. It thins gradually into farmland and open ground, so the poster fades naturally from dense lines to empty paper.
Lake Victoria region
Kasamwa sits in the Geita Region, in the country south of Lake Victoria, a setting that places the map within one of East Africa's great lake basins.

ផែនទីដែលមានអត្ថន័យ
People hang this map because it belongs to them: a home town, a family connection, a posting in the gold country of Geita, or a stretch of life spent in north-western Tanzania. A minimal map carries that memory without needing a photograph, and it fits comfortably in almost any room.
You can set your own title, subtitle and coordinates line, for example a family name or a year, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. The HD digital files cost $9, or you can order a matte print, framed if you like.
