The Tesha River
The Tesha loops past the town on its way to the Oka, giving the poster a gentle curving line that contrasts with the straighter streets and industrial plots beside it.

Kulebaki Map Poster & Print
Kulebaki sits in the south of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, on the Tesha River, a tributary of the Oka. On a map the town reads as a compact settlement with the river curving along one side, a band of industrial ground at its heart, and residential streets fanning out toward the woods and farmland that surround it on almost every side.
The town grew around its metallurgical works, founded in the second half of the nineteenth century, and the plant still shapes the plan. Large rectangular footprints of workshops and rail sidings stand out against the finer grid of houses and apartment blocks. A railway line threads through, linking the town to the wider region and giving the drawing one strong, straight stroke.
A Kulebaki map poster captures that balance between heavy industry and quiet provincial streets. In black and white the river becomes a soft, looping line, the factory blocks turn into solid geometric shapes, and the edges of town dissolve into the open space of the Russian countryside. It is a modest map, but a very legible one.

The metallurgical works
The steel plant at the centre of town appears as a cluster of large, dense rectangles, the kind of footprint that instantly tells you how the settlement came to exist.
Forest on the edges
Beyond the last streets the map opens into woodland and fields, so the town sits on the paper as a clear island of lines in wide empty space.
