Mvurwi sits in Mashonaland Central in northern Zimbabwe, a small town of roughly fifteen thousand people surrounded by agricultural land. From above, the built-up area is modest and tightly drawn: a cluster of streets near the centre, residential blocks spreading a little further out, and then the long, straight lines of roads heading into the countryside.
