Old town headland
The historic centre fills the end of the promontory in a compact mesh of narrow streets. The sea bounds it on three sides, and the small, sheltered Marina harbour marks its edge.

Piombino Map Poster & Print
Piombino occupies the tip of a promontory on the Tuscan coast, where the mainland comes closest to Elba. From above, the historic centre is a tight knot of streets on the headland that ends abruptly at cliffs and a small old harbour. Newer districts, the ferry port and large industrial areas spread back toward the plain and the curve of the Gulf of Follonica.
The town has long been an industrial and maritime place. Its steelworks shaped much of the twentieth-century city, and its port is the main ferry link to Elba, with crossings that take about an hour. Piazza Bovio, a terrace on the very edge of the old town, looks straight out over the sea toward the island and the Tuscan Archipelago.
A Piombino map poster shows all these layers at once. You see the dense medieval core, the long breakwaters of the ferry terminal, the broad geometry of the industrial zone and the wooded hills of the promontory rising to the north toward Populonia. It is a coastline of sharp contrasts, and it translates naturally into a strong black-and-white composition.

Elba ferry port
Long piers and breakwaters project into the channel where ferries leave for Portoferraio and other Elba ports. They add bold straight lines to an otherwise rugged coastline.
Gulf of Follonica
East of the city the shore bends into a wide, smooth bay. This long, sweeping curve balances the rocky, angular edge of the headland.

ផែនទីដែលមានអត្ថន័យ
Many people pass through Piombino on the way to Elba, and some never quite leave. A map of it can mark a crossing, a summer or a working life in the port and the mills, and the coast gives the print real graphic weight.
Personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, for example with the date of a first crossing or a family name, then choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Noir and Blueprint suit the industrial edge, while Paper and Sand suit the summer sea.
