Valley-floor core
The central streets are packed onto level ground between the hills, so the town reads as a dense, elongated shape instead of spreading into a ring.

Qianjiang Map Poster & Print
Qianjiang is a district in the southeast of Chongqing Municipality, toward the border with Hubei. It lies in the Wuling Mountains, and the town occupies one of the few stretches of flat land in a landscape of steep, folded ridges. On a map the built-up core looks tight and elongated, held in place by slopes that leave little room to spread outward.
Until 2000 the area was governed as a Tujia and Miao autonomous county, and both communities are still part of local life. Newer road and rail links reach the town through tunnels and over viaducts, so they show up as unusually straight lines cutting across the curving contours. A Qianjiang map poster captures that contrast between engineered routes and old valley paths.
Away from the centre, the street network thins quickly into roads that follow the valleys, with small settlements strung along them. In black and white, the empty spaces are as telling as the drawn ones. The open areas are hillsides, and the density of the core shows how much of the town had to fit onto the available ground.

Straight modern links
Expressway and railway alignments run through tunnels and across viaducts, drawing clean straight strokes over terrain that the older roads have to wind around.
Mountain edges
Around the core, streets give way to roads that follow the valleys. The contrast between the dense centre and the open ridges frames the whole composition.

ផែនទីដែលមានអត្ថន័យ
Qianjiang suits people who come from the mountains of southeast Chongqing, or who travelled through them, and want to remember a place that feels far from the big city on the Yangtze. The map shows how tightly the town fits into its landscape.
You can change the title, the subtitle and the coordinates line, for example to add a family name or a year. Choose from five styles: Classic black and white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Each one gives the hillside setting a different mood.
