Tonota Map Poster & Print
Tonota is a town in Botswana's Central District, a short drive south of Francistown. Its map is shaped by two parallel lines of national importance, the A1 highway and the railway that run from the north of the country toward Gaborone. The town spreads out to either side of this corridor in wide, low-density blocks typical of settlements on the eastern plains.
The Shashe River passes close by, and the riverbeds and drainage lines of the area appear on a map as meandering threads across otherwise open ground. Between them, plots are generous and streets widely spaced, so the poster reads as an airy composition of long straight roads, softer curving lanes and large areas of empty space.
A Tonota map poster is a good fit for anyone who grew up in the neighbourhoods here, studied nearby or has family along the Francistown road. Minimalist styles handle the open spacing well, and the transport corridor gives the print a firm central axis that keeps the composition balanced even where buildings are sparse.

Shashe River
The river and its seasonal channels wind across the landscape near the town, adding soft, irregular curves to an otherwise open and orderly map.
Open plots
Wide residential plots and generous spacing between streets give the poster a light, airy texture, very different from the dense grids of larger cities.

A map of Tonota is a personal object more than a decorative one: it marks a home village, a posting, a school or a family yard. You can add names, a year or a short phrase in the title and subtitle, and keep or edit the coordinates line beneath.
Sand is a natural match for the eastern plains, and Noir gives the highway and railway striking contrast. The digital files are $9 with six print sizes and no watermark, or you can order a printed matte poster, framed or unframed, shipped from partners in more than 30 countries.
