Rass el Djebel, also written Ras Jebel, is a town in Bizerte Governorate on Tunisia's northern coast, between the city of Bizerte and the Gulf of Tunis. It sits slightly inland from the Mediterranean, on gently rising ground above a fertile coastal plain.
The map shows a compact centre of close, irregular streets, typical of older North African towns, surrounded by newer districts on more regular blocks. Roads lead out to the neighbouring towns and down to the shore. Between them lie small farm plots, orchards and field boundaries. The coast to the north gives the wider frame a clear, strong edge.
