Compact town grid
The centre forms a tight network of short blocks and narrow streets, dense enough to read as a solid shape against the lighter surrounding land when rendered in black and white.

D'Kaart
Aïn Smara sits on the high plateau of northeastern Algeria, a short distance southwest of Constantine. From above, the town is a compact grid of streets surrounded by wide agricultural land, where field boundaries are softer and more scattered than the dense block pattern at the centre. The contrast between the built core and the open country around it gives the map a clear, readable outline.
The name begins with Aïn, the Arabic word for a spring, a prefix shared by many towns across the region and a reminder of how water shaped settlement on these plains. On the map, the main roads toward Constantine and toward the west run through the town. Newer housing extends outward from the older centre in regular rows, and the edge of the urban area stays sharply defined against the countryside.
An Aïn Smara map poster turns this layout into a clean black-and-white composition. Fine lines mark the residential streets, heavier strokes follow the main roads, and the surrounding plain is left as calm negative space. The result reads as a portrait of a working town in the Constantine province, drawn at the scale where its structure is easiest to see: a dense core, a few long connecting roads and open land around it.
The centre forms a tight network of short blocks and narrow streets, dense enough to read as a solid shape against the lighter surrounding land when rendered in black and white.
Main roads leave the town toward Constantine and the western plains, cutting long, steady lines across the poster and tying the small grid to the wider region around it.
Farmland on the plateau surrounds the built area on every side, so the poster keeps generous empty space around the town and the edge of the settlement stands out clearly.

Firwat Aïn Smara
For people who grew up in Aïn Smara or have family there, the map is a quiet record of home: the streets walked to school, the road toward Constantine, the edge where the town gives way to fields. It suits a hallway, a study or a gift for someone living far away.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a family name or a meaningful date, and choose from five styles: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. It is available as a $9 set of HD digital files in six sizes, or as a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
