Colonial centre
The compact historic core was once the seat of Ceará's government. Its small, tight grid of streets contrasts with the wider spacing of later development.

Aquiraz Map Poster & Print
Aquiraz lies just south-east of Fortaleza on the coast of Ceará, and it holds a particular place in the state's past as the first capital of Ceará in the colonial period. The historic centre sits a little inland, a small grid of streets around its main church and square. The municipality reaches out to a long Atlantic shoreline.
On the coast, the map changes character. Beaches such as Porto das Dunas and Prainha form a line of resort and residential development along the shore. Behind them are sand dunes, lagoons and small rivers winding toward the sea. Between the coast and the old town, roads cross open ground and newer housing in a looser pattern that follows the land and the dunes.
Porto das Dunas is home to Beach Park, one of the largest water parks in Latin America, which draws visitors from across Brazil. An Aquiraz map poster balances the quiet colonial core against the broad sweep of the shoreline. In the composition, sand, water and streets each take a clear share of the frame.

Atlantic shoreline
A long, gently curving coastline runs along the edge of the municipality. Beach districts line up along it, and open sea fills part of the poster.
Dunes and lagoons
Behind the beaches, dunes and lagoons leave irregular blank shapes and soft outlines. Near the coast they break the road network into a more organic pattern.

Firwat Aquiraz
Eng Kaart, déi eppes bedeit
Aquiraz is both a home and a holiday place. Some people know it from childhood, others from family trips to the beach. A map of its coast and old town suits either memory, whether it hangs in a living room in Fortaleza or a flat far away.
Add a title and subtitle, perhaps a beach name or the year of a trip, and keep or change the coordinates line. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download HD files or order a printed poster from a nearby print partner.
